Where It All Began
The name Hat captures the rich history of the hotel as the original owner’s name HATT was immortalized in brick on the front façade of the hotel. The subsequent owner, real estate magnate, Henry A. Taylor, chopped out one of the T’s to leave his initials – still noticeable today.
Mastering culinary specialties from world travel experiences, The Hat Tavern proudly introduces our new chef, Said Kamal. Chef Kamal’s passport of experience includes leading food and beverage teams in a variety of restaurants in Egypt, Germany, Ireland and the United States. As a hands-on Chef, his passion is to create new dishes, with only the freshest ingredients possible. And he continually strives to adhere to all sustainability efforts by purchasing from local farmers and shops whenever possible. Welcome Chef Kamal!
